Between the ocean and the mediterranean blue pool you may never want to leave the Ohana house. If you are looking for some activities around town here are the ones we would suggest.
St George Street
Taking a walk down historic St George Street is an activity all its own. The street is lined with shops, restaurants and bars. You could spend a whole day just exploring the side streets in Historic Downtown St Augustine. Be sure to bring an umbrella in case you run into an afternoon shower.
The Alligator Farm
The Alligator Farm strives to instill appreciation and understanding of crocodilians and all other wildlife. Crocodile Crossing is the Alligator Farm’s zip-line, opened in 2011. A one-of-a-kind experience, participants zip over the entire park, seeing live crocodilians, lemurs, and tropical birds from a new perspective.
Saint Augustine Distillery Tour
Saint Augustine Distillery offers the Number 1 Distillery Tour in All of North America. This FREE tour is a must. St. Augustine Distillery produces Florida's most awarded spirits with ingredients sourced from fresh, locally grown Florida agriculture.
Pirate Museum
In addition to the world class museum, the property boasts a scenic outdoor courtyard and a large deck that overlooks the historic Matanzas River and the magnificent Castillo de San Marcos, the 17th Spanish fort located directly across the street on the bayfront.
St Augustine Amphitheatre
Be sure to check out the St Augustine Amphitheatre website to see if there is a show going on while you are in town. This venue has hosted some amazing musical guests including Maggie Rogers and The Zac Brown Band. It is a perfect venue to see a live show.
St Augustine Farmers Market
The grounds of The Amphitheatre are also home to the farmers market which takes place every Saturday from 8:30am-12:30pm.
Parking can be tricky so make sure you get there early.
Reggae Sunday
On certain Sundays of the year the Conch House offers a very special event called Reggae Sunday. People fill the docks to drink Goombay Smashes and listen to Reggae Music. You will certainly be feeling all the island vibes.
Downtown Holiday Lights
If you happened to be here between November 14th - January 31st you must go Downtown to see the lights. National Geographic named it one of the top 10 light displays in the world. If you aren’t here to see it do not worry you can always plan another trip to the Ohana House.
Ghost Tours
If you are into the supernatural Saint Augustine is just the place for you. Named one of the most haunted cities in America offering numerous ghosts in the Downtown area.
Old Town Trolley
If you are interested in the history of Saint Augustine jump on the Old Town Trolley. The Trolley gives a hop on hop off option so you can see all of Downtown Saint Augustine and learn some great facts along the way.
